On May 2nd, 2010 the Wisconsin Golf Course Superintendents Association (WGCSA) will launch its inaugural PAR 4 Research Online Auction. Play A Round (PAR) 4 Research was created to assist in funding sustainable turfgrass and environmental research for golfers, homeowners and everyone in between who enjoys a little green in their life. Wisconsin is home to over 300,000 acres of turfgrass and nearly one-billion-dollar-a-year industry that continues to thrive due in part to the cutting-edge turfgrass research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Items up for bid will include, golf packages to many exclusive private golf or country clubs, nationally renowned golf courses, and many other quality golf courses throughout Wisconsin. All proceeds are to be donated to the Wisconsin Turfgrass Association (WTA) to support turfgrass research and education at University of Wisconsin-Madison. By winning a round through the PAR 4 Research online auction you will help sustain the turfgrass industry while playing the great game of golf.
